What is CDS Exam?
CDS
stands for Combined Defence Services, candidates who want to be a part of
Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, and Indian Air Force
Academy has to apply for the Combined Defence Services Exam. CDS exam is conducted
two times in a year by UPSC. Candidate after clear CDS exam will be called for
interview by Service Selection Board (SSB) and the successful candidates will
be selected with respective training academies. The notice for the CDS exam is generally
released in the months of October and June, and the CDS exam is conducted two times
in a year in the months February and November.
What is
OTA?
OTA or The officers training academy is a military academy like to IMA and NDA. It was
recognized on 15 Jan 1963 in Chennai. Its training period is below the training
period of IMA. OTA, Gaya was also reputable in 2011 which trains 350 cadets
currently. Female cadets are as well trained at OTA, Chennai. An army cadet
trained in OTA will be empowered with logical thinking, planning skills,
executive and organization abilities, and perspective of thinking which he/she
can apply in the personal activities after opting out from the Army.
